NPR series examines American public's trust in government

The Pew Research Center has released a major national study on trust in government, an update to the original study released in 1998. The new survey focuses on the federal government, but will include questions about state and local governments, as well as comparisons to other industrialized nations. A variety of surveys over the past year shows a significant decline in trust.
