For the first time in more than two decades, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra has a new conductor. Jose Luis Gomez takes the reigns from George Hansen, the longest-serving conductor in the symphony’s 87-year history. Since leaping into international prominence, Maestro Gomez has played with orchestras around the world. He says he and the Tucson Symphony Orchestra found each other at the perfect time to ascend to the next level of musical excellence together.
