Episode 177: Ben Wilder, Director, UA Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill

Tucson's Tumamoc Hill is one of the best places in the world to understand the changes in the desert environment. The site was first studied in 1903, and continues to be a place where scientists examine everything from bufflegrass to fossils.

Ben Wilder is the director of the Desert Laboratory on Tumamoc Hill. He wants to upgrade old buildings, labs and roads, and bring more art and science programs to Tumamoc Hill. He spoke with Tim Swindle of the University of Arizona Lunar and Planetary Laboratory.
