It is another summer of construction on the University of Arizona campus.

UA design and construction director Ralph Banks says the most notable work is happening on the south side of the UA mall, highlighted by extensive renovations to the main library's second level.

"It's going to include some collaborative learning studios," said Banks. "We're also doing a new entrance on the north side, and that entrance should be completed by November of this year."

The library work is part of the Student Success District project. It also includes renovation and construction on the science and engineering library and Bear Down gym.

One of the biggest projects is expected to be completed later this summer. The UA hopes to open its new Honors village north of Speedway Blvd. in late July.
