Tucson's Tohono Chul Park will begin its Holiday Nights light display this weekend.

The park, a native vegetation preserve on Ina Road West of Oracle Road, will be open Friday and Saturday nights each of the next two weekends for the display of holiday lights and musical entertainment.

"Currently we have almost a million lights that blanket the park which is actually a botanical garden, so it's just a beautiful place to be," says Marcia Ring, director of marketing and communications at the park.

"The performances are always amazing, but the truth is the park lit up at night, it's a gorgeous beautiful place to be during the day, but with all of the lights it truly turns magical," Ring says. "That's always the No. 1 word we hear to describe it when they see it."
