Tucson based GoPHR is taking digital medical records off your computer and into the world.

The company allows subscribers to store medical records in a so-called cloud, a web-based format that makes it easy for patients, physicians, emergency responders--basically, anyone who can log in--to access a person’s medical history.

Digital medical records are a growing part of the online world, as state and federal legislation makes it easier and in some cases required.

Security is often a concern about storing records online, but company officials say they have military-grade firewalls in place in order to ensure only authorized people get to see the records.
