A wintry storm moving through Arizona has dropped more snow in the state's northern and eastern mountain and is making driving tough along interstate 17 and 40.

The National Weather Service in Flagstaff says winter storm warnings are being allowed to expire Wednesday morning as the storm moves off to the east. Flagstaff schools are on a two-hour delay.

Weather Service meteorologist Robert Rickey says preliminary reports show Flagstaff got 3 to 4 inches of snow overnight, Jacob Lake on the Kaibab Plateau received 6 inches and the community of McNary near Snow Low nearly 3 inches of snow.

Interstates 40 and 17 are open but icy and blowing snow is making for very low visibility.

The storm also brought rain to central Arizona, with heavy rain overnight in Phoenix.
