In the wilderness of the Mojave Desert, Virgin Galactic is testing rockets that will eventually take tourists into space.
Sally Krusing is scheduled to be one of those tourists, as a passenger aboard SpaceShipTwo.
Krusing says the trip "will get the adrenaline going, but I also think that we are right on the cusp, the edge of space exploration."
SpaceShipTwo will launch from Space Port America, near New Mexico's White Sands Missile Range. At 50,000 feet, SpaceShipTwo will detach from the mother ship, White Night, and rocket 70 miles into space, before gliding back to Earth.
No date is set for Krusing's flight, but Virgin Galactic has said it wants to begin taking tourists into space by the end of 2013.
