Weather Brings Hazardous Conditions

Snow, ice, flooding, all followed by freeze Tuesday night

Difficult driving conditions and closures are reported Tuesday morning on some Arizona highways due to winter weather.

Near Tucson, the Mt. Lemmon road is closed to all but residents and workers because of snowfall.

In southeastern Arizona, the Cochise County Sheriff's Office says Highway 80 between Bisbee and Douglas is closed by snow. Deputies say stretches of Routes 181, 186 and 191 are also closed.

Flagstaff and the eastern Arizona mountains are getting snow showers.

Much of the rest of the state, including Phoenix and Tucson, will have clear skies and sun, but temperatures will stay below 60 degrees during the day and drop to and below freezing in some areas overnight Tuesday.
