"Feminina: Images of the Feminine from Latin America" is on exhibit at the Tucson Museum of Art.
Julie Sasse, chief curator for TMA, says the exhibition focuses on “representations of the feminine, both sacred and profane, and spans several centuries.”
Outgoing curator of Latin American art, Ann Seiferle-Valencia, organized the exhibition.
Sasse says Seiferle-Valencia organized the exhibit to show the evolution of women in Latin America.
“You’re seeing all these different aspects of how women have been portrayed, and how the roles of women have changed,” Sasse.
Feminina: Images of the Feminine from Latin America runs through June 16.
