Edmund White is a New York-based author whose career began in the early 1970s.
Best known for writing about social issues and same-sex love, White’s 2012 novel Jack Holmes and His Friend tells the story of a “committed friendship” between two men, one who is gay and one who is straight.
White will speak about his career at The Loft Cinema on Wednesday at 7 p.m. as a guest of the Pima County Public Library Gay - Lesbian – Bisexual - Transgender Services Committee. The event is open to the public.
