Afghanistan War Update

Former Army Chief of Staff explores question of how long the American public will support ongoing wars in Asia.

The United States continues with the ongoing war in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Given the slow progress in reversing momentum of the Talban and mounting U.S. casulties, General John Wickham, former U-S Army Chief of Staff says the big question is how long will the American public support the ongoing wars. The answer is unclear, according to General Wickham, but he says reports of successes in Afghanistan and particularly aggressive military operations by Pakistani forces plus Administration efforts to explain the importance of out goals in the region should prolong support.
