City Challenges

Tucson City Councilman Steve Kozachik of Ward 6 says city faces major challenges concerning the budget and a proposed downtown Tucson hotel.

Tucson City Councilman Steve Kozachik says the proposed half-cent sales tax that voters will decide on will not solve the structural problems with the city's budget. Kozachik says if it doesn't pass, the city will find itself right before Christmas trying to find 12 months' worth of cuts with half of the departments' budgets having been spent.
