Wingspan director Linda Thomas discusses her experiences in the military and Wingspan's work to support civil rights

The debate about the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy has dominated airwaves--and legislators' to-do lists--in recent months. Linda Thomas served in the Air Force for 22 years before retiring as a colonel and moving to Tucson. She now serves as program director at Wingspan and comments on her experiences in uniform, her views on the Don't Ask Don't Tell law and what it would take to repeal it.
