Antiques Roadshow cameras capture tales of family heirlooms, flea market finds and items saved from attics and basements, while experts reveal the fascinating truths about these items.

Highlights include an 18th-century ivory carved crèche that could be worth up to 30 times what the owner paid for it; a pair of mid-century modern “Barcelona” chairs: a line of chairs designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe as thrones for the King and Queen of Spain; and a circa 1900 Turkmenistan rug, valued at $125,000 to $150,000.

Highlights include “Captain America” and “Fantastic Four” co-creator Jack Kirby’s personal collection of comics from the 1930s to the 1970s; a set of circa 1915 Cartier cuff links, buttons and studs; and an original Hortus Eystettensis, the groundbreaking collection of botanical illustrations published in 1613, valued at $250,000 to $350,00
