The city of Tucson may ask voters in November to decide on a pay raise for the mayor and members of the City Council.
But before that happens, a seven-member commission will look at the issue and determine how much of a raise is warranted.
The City Manager’s office is now taking applications for citizens to serve on that commission. Participants may not be city employees nor can they be related to a city employee.
The commission will meet over about two months at the beginning of next year.
