Shortness of breath is a key symptom of COVID-19. University of Arizona professor of medicine Sairam Parthasarathy has adapted a respirator device to ease the shortage of ventilators that the COVID-19 pandemic could create. The machine can also reduce the risk of infection for doctors and nurses treating coronavirus patients.

Sairam Parthasarathy talked with Tim Swindle, director of the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona.
