Searching for Caves on the Moon
Featuring Dr. Than Putzig, Senior Scientist, Planetary Science Institute

Could the Moon be hiding vast underground tunnels formed by ancient volcanic activity? Dr. Putzig will introduce GIMLI, a PSI-led project developing innovative ways to investigate possible lunar caves using radar, seismic measurements, and gravity sensing. Discover how scientists hope to reveal the Moon's hidden structures and what they could mean for future exploration.

This series brings scientists, space enthusiasts, and curious minds together to explore the discoveries and big questions shaping our understanding of the Solar System. Through science, art, and conversation, we hope to inspire curiosity and connect Tucson's community with the people exploring worlds beyond our own.
