Volunteer with AZPM

Why volunteer?

Did you know there are many ways for you to support your local public television and radio station? We have opportunities for short-term, long-term, or reoccurring service. You can start by reading about the volunteer opportunities we have available, or by filling out the Volunteer Form below.

AZPM Volunteers come from all different walks of life, but have many things in common, including: a positive attitude, a passion for public media, and excellent customer service skills.

Available opportunities

There are a variety of roles available as an AZPM Volunteer. You can help AZPM say "thank you" to our members by putting together mailings or placing phone calls to members to thank them for supporting AZPM. There is no solicitation of funds or pledge renewals involved; you are simply conveying our appreciation.

You can also represent AZPM at special events, live productions, children’s activities, and member screenings. Volunteers will do a variety of tasks, including staff event booths and registration tables, take tickets and seat guests at screenings, promote AZPM membership, meet new people, answer questions about AZPM programs and events, participate in children’s activities and readings, dress in a PBS character costume, help with event flow, and take photos as needed.

Finally, we also need volunteers interested in connecting with teachers and helping to promote fantastic PBS Educator resources. Volunteers are needed to assist in promoting PBS LearningMedia at community events such as job fairs, local educational conferences, and training workshops. Experience with educational technology and education is preferred. This is a great way to help inspire teachers and others who work with K-12 students through PBS Education!
