David Lee

David Lee joined AZPM in November 2025 from Cascade PBS in Seattle, where he served as Executive Editor overseeing the full editorial operation, including digital news, original video productions, and podcasts.

He brings more than 35 years of broadcast journalism experience to AZPM, with a career that spans newsrooms and on-air roles across the country. Before joining Cascade PBS in 2021, Lee served as news director at the CBS affiliate in Green Bay and previously held the same role at the ABC affiliate in Tallahassee. He also served as assistant news director in the Santa Maria, California, market. Throughout his career, Lee has worked in a wide range of markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Memphis, New York, and Washington, D.C., taking on positions from sports director and anchor to reporter and newsroom leader. His extensive experience across editorial, production, and on-air roles uniquely positions him to guide AZPM’s growing news operation.
