Suburban Backyard Food Forest: Phố Phạm

Season 27 | 9m 17s

Plant-based food for her young family’s good health: that’s why Phố Phạm scrapped the lawn for a backyard food forest. She lined the fence with seasonal vegetables—including 200 peppers—and potted up 300 fruit trees. Peaches, pears, plums, figs, guavas, and citrus head to the kitchen for right-now eating, along with preserves and spicy sauces. From a hydro grow tent, they harvest fresh mushrooms.

Support for CTG is provided by Lisa & Desi Rhoden, and by H-E-B Our Texas, Our Future. Central Texas Gardener is produced by Austin PBS, KLRU-TV and distributed by NETA.
