In honor of the giving spirit of children’s television pioneer Fred Rogers, Arizona Public Media is once again launching the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive to benefit the Tucson Unified School District Clothing Banks.
AZPM is partnering with Maya Palace Boutique and Bridal Shop to host the Mister Rogers’ Sweater Drive from October 13 through November 13 — which also happens to be National Cardigan Day and World Kindness Day.
You can drop off cold-weather wear for adults and children at:
- Maya Palace Boutique and Bridal Shop, Plaza Palomino Shopping Center, 2930 N. Swan Rd, Suite 120, Tucson, AZ 85712
- Any AZPM community event
- The Paul & Alice Baker Center for Public Media, 2685 S. Catalyst Drive, Tucson, AZ 85713
Sweaters may be the last thing on Southern Arizonans’ minds right now, but as you clean out your closets this fall, please consider helping AZPM honor the spirit and legacy of Fred Rogers — the beloved host and creator of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood — by donating new or gently used sweaters, hoodies, sweatshirts, and jackets for our neighbors in need.
Thank you for being a good neighbor!
