- The University of Arizona’s annual Humanities Festival is underway, and this year’s theme "style" encompasses the different definitions and influences that can create self-image and identity. One presenting artist finds her identity through justice and storytelling in the form of art. Paola Rodriguez spoke with Favianna Rodriguez about her latest art installation at the school and how Favianna navigated her identity to understand the stories she wants to tell through her work.
_You can catch Favianna's presentation "Desert Symphony: Mobilizing Creativity and Stories for Social Change" on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. at the UA Poetry Center. The event is open to the public, no ticket or prior registration is required!_
- Kerri Maher sits down with Leah Britton to discuss her latest book “All You Have to Do Is Call”, a novel based on the Jane Collective, an underground initiative that served women in the days before Roe V Wade.
- And, Filmmaking legend Roger Corman produced hundreds of low-budget movies, but only one became a big-budget Hollywood hit and a smash Broadway musical. This month in Tucson, Saguaro City Music Theatre presents “Little Shop of Horrors”, and Mark McLemore talks with the stars and their director about this unusual production.
