"Listening is an act of love."

Annual Report 2025 | StoryCorps
"Listening is an act of love."

Featured on the November 27th, 2025 edition of ARIZONA SPOTLIGHT with host Mark McLemore:

The non-profit organization Story Corps is dedicated to finding and preserving the extraordinary stories of ordinary people. A Story Corps mobile recording booth recently visited Tucson, and we’ll hear just a few of the stories they recorded while they were here, on a special holiday edition of Arizona Spotlight!

In these excerpts, you will meet:

  • Kiplyn and Jada, two of the Story Corps mobile recording crew that visited Tucson, who share vivid examples of why they believe that their mission is important...
  • Lee James Finn, a 90-year old Army veteran with many stories to tell, and his daughter Karen, also a veteran and an avid fan of both Story Corps and public broadcasting…
  • Sara and her 9-year-old daughter Rosie, who demonstrate how good communication in a family is really done…
  • U of A students and best friends Chase and Robert, who met because of their fraternity, and outgrew it together…
  • And Marcela and Jessica, who talk about working together to lead the Tucson Girls Chorus through good times and bad…

Story Corps invites every person listening to this podcast to consider listening to the stories of someone important in your life, and preserving them forever with Story Corps and the Library of Congress. Just visit Story Corps.org and you will find all the resources you need to make your own recording, including a free downloadable app. Remember: Listening is an act of love."
