A conversation with NPR's best known voice: Terry Gross.

Featured on the October 23rd, 2025 edition of ARIZONA SPOTLIGHT with host Mark McLemore:

  • Mark talks with public broadcasting legend Terry Gross. She tells how public broadcasting first entered her life, and how she has stayed happy in WHYY's Fresh Air radio studio for 50 years She also makes a powerful plea for listeners to continue (or to start) supporting their local NPR affiliates..

  • They’re similar…and also very different. But they will always be best friends. Meet the actors starring in Live Theatre Workshop’s production of “A Year with Frog & Toad”, a musical adaptation of Arnold Lobel's well-loved children's books..

  • And, the musical “Annie” brings optimism personified to the Saguaro City Music Theatre stage. Due to the large youth turnout when Saguaro City began auditions, director Drew Humphrey said it was decided to do the musical with two casts, alternating performances. Hence the reason "Annie" has two Annies!
