The Pima County Adult Detention Center confirmed this morning that the suspect of the deadly hit-and-run near the University of Arizona campus, Louis John Artal, was released yesterday on a $250,000 bond.

The victims of the Oct. 30 hit-and-run were three UA students, Sophia Akimi Troetel, Josiah Patrick Santos, and Katya Rosaura Castillo Mendoza.

19-year old Artal, son of California business owner John Artal, is facing three counts of manslaughter and one count of leaving the scene of a fatal injury accident.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 17.
