NFL football star Bijan Robinson was honored at Tucson’s Salpointe High School on Friday, September 4.
Robinson graduated from Salpointe in 2020 after a series of record-breaking performances. He went on to become a standout running back at the University of Texas before joining the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.
Salpointe school officials announced they were retiring Robinson’s iconic No 5 football jersey to honor his athletic achievements.
As one of the NFL's rising young stars, Robinson is Tucson's most popular active professional athlete. During the 2025 NFL season, Robinson gained 2,298 scrimmage yards, which is the 12th best single-season total in league history.
