- Marquez Price, a Tucson-based author, poet, publisher and entrepreneur, shares an excerpt from his new non-fiction book The Backcourt. More than a basketball story; it is a tale of family, resilience, and the intertwined lives of two men whose bond transcended the game and shaped the life of Marquez Price as well. There will be a book signing at the Tucson High gymnasium on Sunday, March 9th, from 12 - 3 pm. Many are expected to attend, including guests of honor Delano Price and Hoegie Simmons.
- This month, Arizona Spotlight will feature a series of essays written by last fall’s graduating class from Tucson High Magnet School. These essays recount the harrowing experiences they shared as an entire generation of students to undergo active shooter drills since kindergarten, plus the isolation and uncertainty they experienced spending four years of high school under the threat of COVID-19. This essay series will culminate in a live theatrical experience at the beginning of March called, "The Class of 2024."
