“So easy, when you know how!” Ain't Misbehavin' at the Arizona Theatre Company

Featured on the February 5th, 2026 edition of ARIZONA SPOTLIGHT with host Mark McLemore:

  • The hosts of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series, Anamaria Sayre and Robin Hilton, talk about the current Tiny Desk contest to find a new unknown artist, and how surprising it is to have front row seats to one of the hottest music venues in the country. (Contest entries must be submitted by February 9th, 2026.)

  • A talk with Jeff Spitz, the filmmaker behind the documentary “The Return of Navajo Boy”. It looks at the impact that generations of uranium mining in Monument Valley has had on an indigenous family who lives there. Jeff Spitz will be in Arizona to attend a screening of the movie and panel being hosted by the University on Feb.15th.

  • And, meet Dell Howlett and Abdul Hamid Royal, two of the artists behind Arizona Theatre Company’s current show, the musical revue “Ain’t Misbehavin’”. It’s a celebration of the Harlem Renaissance and the songs of Thomas “Fats” Waller, music that has truly stood the test of time.
