AZ voters show high bipartisan election confidence

Arizona voters are showing higher rates of bipartisan confidence in this year’s election compared to 2020, according to results of a new poll.

The poll by Noble Predictive Insights concludes that about 7 in 10 Arizona voters feel confident in the integrity of the 2024 election. Following Joe Biden’s victory in 2020, post-election confidence was only about 60 percent.

Pollsters say usually the losing party shows higher levels of mistrust in the results, but this year 71% of Democrats are confident the election was fair, despite handing the presidency and both houses of Congress to Republicans.

NPI’s Chief of Research David Byler said these numbers are “a welcome reprieve,” from previous election cycles with low confidence.

“America is the oldest democracy in the world. We’re a well-resourced country that knows how to run elections. Voters should feel confident in the results of our elections,” he said.

But one sticking point is Arizona’s slow ballot counting. 52% of survey respondents reported frustration with the process, and a majority of Arizona voters support changing election law to encourage faster results.
