Pima County is using drone technology and computer modeling to better estimate how much water flows through local washes during flash floods, as Southern Arizona recorded a record number of flash flood warnings this monsoon season.
With August’s monsoon events and weather forecasts of rain, thunderstorms and flash flooding, health officials warn increased dust in the air could pose greater risk of infection.
